First Rehearsal

Last night we had our first rehearsal of the season. It was wonderful to see everyone again, and we are also very excited to have several new members. They are such a great addition. We'd like to thank everyone for coming early so we could get going close to on-time.

Now for the promised updates on what to look forward to for the upcoming first performance. It will be on Thursday, Oct. 3rd at the Heritage Center Theater, so mark your calendars. We will be combining with the Orchestra of Southern Utah, as well as the Master Singers, SUU's Opus Chamber Choir, and the Madrigal Choirs from both Cedar High School and Canyon View High School to put on a choral/orchestral extravaganza for the Orchestra's season opener. There will be performances by each group individually, and then a few with everyone combined.

The Orchestra's theme this season is "Cinema Classics", so all of their concerts this year will have songs from the movies. This first concert will kick off the season with "Soundtrack of Our Lives". And just to get you excited, I've posted a couple of videos below of two of the songs we will be performing with the combined group.

It's going to be a great opening to the season, so again, mark your calendars for Oct. 3rd, because you aren't going to want to miss it and check back often to see what's happening with In Jubilo!

One Week Away!

We are one week away from starting rehearsals for our upcoming season, and we couldn't be more excited! We have lots of fun things planned for the coming season, so check back here often to stay updated on the latest happenings about rehearsals, concerts, behind the scenes, and more.

Our first performance will be on Thursday, October 3rd, so mark your calendars now because you aren't going to want to miss it! (Next post we will give you some hints on what you might see at the show...)
